On 16 December 2025, Shropshire Council refused the outline planning application (Council Reference: 24/02108/OUT) to include access for a mixed-use development comprising up to 800 no dwellings, a care home of up to 80 units, a secondary school and local centre with associated access, infrastructure, landscaping and drainage.
A planning appeal is currently being heard by the Planning Inspectorate (PINS Reference: 6007402).
Over the past few months Boningale Developments Ltd, supported by a range of consultants, have produced updated plans and reports for the sake of clarity and to ensure consistency across the submitted documents.
Whilst the amended plans do not introduce any substantive changes to the scheme, in the interests of transparency and fairness Boningale Developments Ltd are running a consultation concluding on 28 August 2026, to allow interested parties to view and comment on the amended plans.
